1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Vensio AS accesses, collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Notchers mobile app and related account, subscription, cloud backup, sync, and export features.
Notchers is designed so core personal tally features work locally on your device without requiring an account. If you sign in, enable cloud backup, purchase Pro, restore purchases, or export/share data, additional processing is needed to provide those features.
2. Information you create in Notchers
Notchers stores the content you create, such as tally names, groups, icons, colors, display settings, count events, timestamps, quantities, notes, amount fields, and history.
If you enable a location field for a tally event, you may choose to enter a location manually or use your current device location. Location data can include latitude, longitude, and a readable location label. Notchers does not collect background location.
Local app preferences, such as appearance, haptics, display settings, and pending sync state, may also be stored on your device.
3. Account and authentication information
If you sign in for cloud backup or sync, Notchers uses Supabase Auth and supported sign-in providers such as Apple or Google. Depending on the provider and your settings, Notchers may receive identifiers such as your user ID, email address, name, provider account ID, and authentication tokens.
Authentication sessions are stored on your device so you can stay signed in. You can sign out from the cloud backup screen.
You do not need a Notchers account to use core local counting features or to purchase or restore Pro through the app store. An account is needed for cloud backup and cross-device sync.
4. Subscription and purchase information
Notchers Pro purchases are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play and managed through RevenueCat. Vensio AS and RevenueCat may process subscription status, product identifiers, entitlement status, renewal, cancellation, expiration, billing issue, restore, and app user ID information.
Vensio AS does not receive or store your full payment card number. Payment details are handled by the app store or payment provider.
5. Device, diagnostic, and service information
Notchers and its service providers may process technical information needed to operate, secure, debug, and support the app, such as platform, app version, device type, request metadata, authentication state, and error information.
Notchers does not use advertising SDKs and does not sell personal information.
6. How Notchers uses information
Notchers uses information to provide the app, save local tallies, log count events, display history and statistics, enforce free and Pro feature limits, process purchases and restores, provide cloud backup and sync when enabled, export data at your request, maintain security, troubleshoot issues, and comply with legal obligations.
Location information, when you choose to add it to an event, is used to attach that location to the event and show it in history, statistics, sync, and exports.
7. Local storage, cloud backup, and sync
If you do not sign in or enable cloud backup, personal tally data is stored locally on your device.
If you sign in and use Pro cloud backup or sync, your personal tally data and event history may be transmitted to and stored in Notchers infrastructure hosted with Supabase. This allows backup and cross-device sync for the signed-in account.
Sync may include tally content, groups, event history, notes, amounts, optional event locations, settings, deletion state, and timestamps.
8. Sharing with service providers and third parties
Notchers may share information with service providers that help operate the app, including Supabase for authentication, database, sync, and hosting; RevenueCat for subscription entitlement management; Apple and Google for sign-in, app distribution, purchases, and subscriptions; and infrastructure providers used by those services.
When you use export or sharing features, Notchers creates a file and opens the operating system share sheet. The app or destination you choose receives the exported data and handles it under its own terms and privacy policy.
Vensio AS may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to prevent abuse, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or transfer of assets with appropriate notice where required.
9. Data safety
Notchers uses modern transport security, such as HTTPS, when transmitting data to service providers. Local data is stored using the storage available on your device, and cloud data is stored with hosted service providers that provide security controls.
No app or online service can guarantee perfect security. You are responsible for keeping your device, app store account, and authentication provider account secure.
10. Retention and deletion
Local tally data remains on your device until you delete it in the app, delete the app, clear the app data, or reset the device.
You can delete tallies, groups, history, and local statistics from Settings. When cloud sync is active, tally deletion is also synchronized to the cloud. This deletion cannot be undone.
Signed-in users can permanently delete their account from Settings > Data > Account. Account deletion removes the Notchers authentication account, cloud backup data, RevenueCat customer record, and account-linked tally and sync data stored locally on that device. Apple sign-in authorization is also revoked for accounts that use Sign in with Apple.
Account deletion does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. Subscriptions must be canceled in the applicable app store. Vensio AS may retain only records that must be kept for security, fraud prevention, billing, tax, legal, dispute, or compliance purposes.
For privacy questions or help with a deletion request, contact Vensio AS at contact@vensio.no. App store transaction records remain subject to Apple or Google's retention policies.
11. Children
Notchers is not directed to children under 13, and the app is not intended for use by children without appropriate parent or guardian permission where required by law.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to Notchers without appropriate permission, contact contact@vensio.no.
12. International processing
Notchers and its service providers may process and store information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have data protection laws that differ from yours.
13. Your choices
You can use core local tally features without signing in. You can choose whether to sign in, enable cloud backup, add optional notes, add optional amount fields, add optional location fields, purchase Pro, restore purchases, or export data.
You can deny location permission. If location permission is denied, Notchers cannot attach your current device location to tally events, but you may still enter a location manually where the app allows it.
You can cancel subscriptions through the Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.
14. Changes to this Privacy Policy
Vensio AS may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, Notchers may provide notice in the app, through the app store listing, by email, or by other reasonable means.
